Application Process

How Do I Apply?

FaithWay Christian Academy welcomes students interested in a Christian education, who are found qualified for admission, and who agree and whose parents agree that the students shall abide by the rules and philosophy of the school. It must always be understood that attendance at FCA is a privilege and not a right.

The information on this page is provided to walk you through the application process. If you are in need of any help with these steps, our friendly office staff is prepared to answer your questions and assist you all along the way.  Please contact us by calling (812) 479-5342.

Steps for Application

Application does not guarantee acceptance to FaithWay Christian Academy. Please see the Admissions Requirements page of the school website for details regarding the steps for application abbreviated below.

1

Submit a Request for Information

Begin by completing the Request Information form online. This allows us to learn more about your family and gives you an opportunity to express interest in FaithWay Christian Academy. A member of our admissions team will contact you shortly after to provide additional information and answer any initial questions.

2

Schedule a Family Interview and Campus Tour

We invite all prospective families to visit our campus for a personal tour and interview. This is a great opportunity to experience our school environment firsthand, meet faculty and staff, and discuss how FaithWay Christian Academy can partner with your family in Christian education.

3

Complete the Online Application and Pay the Application Fee

Once you’ve toured the school and wish to proceed, you’ll be directed to complete the Online Application. To support this process, parents are asked to submit 1) a copy of the student’s most recent report card, 2) IEP/ISP, 3) documentation of any discipline issues for the current/previous school year, 4) Student Application Forms (Grade 3 and up), 5) Teacher Recommendation Form, and the 6) Pastoral Reference Form. A non-refundable $50 application fee is required at the time of submission and initiates the formal admissions process.

4

Participate in Pre-Admissions Testing

Students will be scheduled for Pre-Admissions Testing to assess academic readiness and help determine appropriate grade placement.

5

Admissions Committee Review and Final Decision

After all application materials have been received, including test results, academic records, Student Application Forms (Grades 3 and up), Teacher Recommendation Form, and Pastoral Reference Form, the Admissions Committee will carefully review the applicant’s file. Final decisions are communicated in writing. If accepted, you will receive instructions for the next steps in the enrollment process.

Other Admission Information

Both members and non-members of FaithWay Baptist Church follow the same application process and submit the same required documentation.

The Student Application Form (Grades 3 and up) is a required supplemental document. It should be downloaded, completed neatly by hand, and uploaded through the online portal. Applicants are expected to complete this form independently. Please ensure all responses are legible.

The Teacher Recommendation Forms and Pastoral Reference Form will be sent directly to your references via email. You will provide their email addresses, and they will receive a secure link to complete and submit the forms.

All new students are enrolled on a nine-week probationary period. During this time, academic progress, behavior, and overall adjustment will be evaluated. Parents will be notified of any concerns or recommended placement changes at the end of the first quarter (nine weeks) or during a scheduled parent conference.

Any application containing false or misleading information may result in denial of admission or immediate dismissal.

FaithWay Christian Academy does not accept new applications after the start of the second semester. A request for an exemption must be submitted in writing.

FaithWay Christian Academy is an in-person program and does not offer virtual instruction.
